The bridge over the Danube river connects the towns of Vidin (Romania) and Calafat (Bulgaria), and aims at providing a river crossing for vehicles as well as trains.

Optimal application of large volumes of formwork for a short execution period

 

 

The floodgate separates the water level downriver, which varies with the tides, the periods of rain and the ebb tide, from the water level upriver, in the marina, which has a constant depth and is not subject to tides.

El Cajón Hydroelectric Project, Tepic, Mexico

A hydraulic construction project with excellent quality and finishes

 

 

The El Cajón Hydroelectric Project, located on the Santiago river, is the largest infrastructure project carried out in Mexico within the last 10 years. It forms part of the Santiago Hydrological System and it is designed for the generation of electrical energy through two 375 MW units. An average total annual generation of 1,228.64 GWh is planned. Among the six power stations built to date, this project holds the second place in terms of power generation.

AP1 Eibar-Vitoria Highway, Basagoiti Viaduct, Spain

Effective engineering with high performance, safety and low cost

 

 

ULMA Construcción has contributed to the infrastructure improvement in the Basque Country through the construction of the Eskoriatza North-Arrasate North stretch, which is part of the Eibar-Vitoria Highway. Several projects have been completed within this stretch, such as the Izurieta-Apotzaga tunnel covering 260 meters, which opens out onto the Basagoiti viaduct, of 427 meters, designed to save the existing river bed. Additionally, there are two overpasses that allow overcoming the complex orography.
